Cindy Ashkins, PhD, LCSW has been a social worker and life coach since 1980 and has been in private practice since 1990. Her specialties areas are trauma, addiction, relationships and marriage counseling. Cindy draws her clientele from New Orleans, Metairie, Mandeville, Covington and Baton Rouge.

As one of four Imago marriage counselors in New Orleans, Dr. Ashkins uses the Harville Hendrix model of couple’s therapy which focuses on couples communication. This method of marriage counseling is designed to help couples with the everyday issues of marriage as well as the more complex issues such as finances, sexuality, affairs and addictions. This method is also very effective for pre-marital counseling and with families.

Cindy is the only Imago Couples Workshop presenter in Louisiana and presents marriage workshops 3-4 times per year in the greater New Orleans area. Other methods of therapy include EMDR, trauma work and breathwork.
